Service Description

Join us every weekend morning for a Still Life Drawing course for Children and Teens. The course consists of 9 sessions, offering personalized instruction for all skill levels, led by Richard Seney. Still life lessons can be good and engaging experiences for Children & Teens, offering opportunities to develop observational drawing skills, explore composition, and learn about light and shadow. Still life encourages children to closely observe and translate what they see into art, enhancing their visual perception and attention to detail. Still life provides a great foundation for learning basic drawing techniques, such as shading , proportion and perspective. Arranging objects in a still life helps children understand the principles of composition, like balance, space, and focal points.Still life allows for creative freedom in objects and interpreting the scene, fostering imagination and self-expression.Still life art can be a jumping-off point to introduce children to art history, exploring the works of artists who have painted still lifes. Still life lessons are easy to adapt to different skill levels and materials. Still life can be fun and engaging activity for children, with the added benefit of creating tangible art work to take home. *Each session last for 2 hours.
